12-1-2008 The holiday spirit soared high at the 18th annual Christmas in the Night Time Skies. <br />
A record-setting crowd estimated at 3,500 donated 1,410 toys this year. This was a 21% increase in toy donations compared to last year.
The Salvation Army will distribute the toys to less fortunate children in our community.
Attendees enjoyed the warmth of bonfires, chili, hot dogs, and charitable giving throughout the evening. A festive fireworks display topped off the event.
Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Company of Idaho has been proud to sponsor Christmas in the Night Time Skies since 1996.
11-7-2008 The skies over the Bannock County Fairgrounds will light up again this year when Christmas in the Night Time Skies returns with its 18th annual holiday fireworks display on Saturday, November 29. Christmas in the Night Time Skies will also help light up the faces of less fortunate children in our community on Christmas morning, by giving them what will be in many cases the only gift they will receive. This celebration has become a traditional way for many southeastern Idaho families to kick-off their holiday season. Christmas in the Night Time Skies gets underway with bonfires, chili and hot dogs at 5:00 PM followed by fireworks at 8:00 PM. Admission is one or more wrapped toy(s) per family. The Salvation Army distributes the toys to less fortunate children in our community. Over 1,160 toys were donated at last year’s Christmas in the Night Time Skies. Among the toys were five new bikes, two scooters and a Sony Playstation.
